UoG servo control test rig
The UoG servo control test rig, which was made by Feedback Instrument Ltd., is a unique medium for studying theory and applications of automatic control systems, as shown below. It introduces the student to all phases of control system development and advanced control methods. This rig is connected to the Internet through a NetController unit, which can also be used as a local controller. Both the closed-loop local control and closed-loop networked control schemes are carried out in this test rig. Various control strategies, e.g., networked predictive control, can be implemented in this rig easily. This rig provides convenient experiment facilities for studying position control using a DC servo motor.

UoG MagLev test rig
The UoG MagLev test rig, which was made by Bytronic Ltd., is an ideal tool for demonstration of magnetic levitation phenomena, as shown below. It is a nonlinear, open-loop unstatble and time-varying dynamical systems. MagLev is a classic control problem used in many practical applications, such as transportation - magnetic levitated trains. This rig is controlled by a local NetController unit. The parameters tuning and signals displaying can be remotely operated via Internet. Various control strategies can be implemented in this rig easily.
